Red Cabbage
Ingredients:
1 head red cabbage
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
½ cup of sugar
½ cup cider vinegar
½ teaspoon salt
3 apples, sliced with skins on

½ cup of sugar
½ cup cider vinegar
½ teaspoon salt
3 apples, sliced with skins on
Instructions:
- Slice the cabbage very thin and then sautè in pot after the butter has been melted for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly so as not to burn.
- Add the sugar and vinegar and salt and cook over low heat for about 15 minutes.
- Add the sliced apple pieces and cook for another 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle with a little flour to thicken sauce.
