Pennè À La Vodka
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons butter
¼ cup olive oil
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 pound proscuitto, diced
½ cup vodka
1 can crushed tomatoes
1 pound penne` or rigatoni
chopped basil
1 cup heavy cream
fresh ground black pepper
¼ cup Parmesan or Romano cheese

A family favorite in the Binger household…even Tracy loves it, and he’s a tough guy to please at the dinner table!
2 tablespoons butter
¼ cup olive oil
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 pound proscuitto, diced
½ cup vodka
1 can crushed tomatoes
1 pound penne` or rigatoni
chopped basil
1 cup heavy cream
fresh ground black pepper
¼ cup Parmesan or Romano cheese
Instructions:
- Melt butter and olive oil.
- Add minced garlic when slightly browned.
- Sauté the prosciutto until browned but not crunchy.
- Add vodka. Simmer two minutes.
- Add crushed tomatoes. Let simmer till you cook pasta.
- While draining pasta, add basil to sauce and simmer one minute.
- Add half and half. Pour sauce over pasta. Add pepper and grated cheese.
